Pedophiles are Trying To Destigmatize Pedophilia By Using The Term "Minor Attraction Persons"

We’ll be honest with you all. Here on Instinct, we often cover stories about sexual freedom and fetishes, but this latest story may sexual attraction too far.

Several people on Twitter are showing how uncomfortable they are after hearing about MAPs or Minor Attracted Persons.

MAPs is a group of people who are trying to soften the idea of pedophilia. Since they have no intention in contacting or physically interacting with children, they claim that their sexual attraction to minors is ok.

John’ was suicidal. He had been bullied by trolls on social media for most of his life for being different. The bullies were primarily people who claimed, based on their religious beliefs, that ‘John’ was going to hell and deserved to die. They described how they would kill him on his twitter page and people supported their hate. Desperate for help, John sought treatment for his shame, depression, and suicidality. Although he was scared to share about himself with a stranger, he felt desperate for help as he had NO desire to harm anyone, ever. Once he shared about his attraction to children, his therapist told him, ‘I don’t treat sex offenders.'

First, let’s be clear. ‘John’ is not a child molester nor is he a sex offender. He has an attraction to children. He is also fervent about helping prevent child sexual abuse by speaking out against it and by showing his support of global child sexual abuse prevention programs on his social media. ‘John’ deserves support as do others who have a minor attraction. After all, isolation and depression are known to increase one’s risk of doing something they might regret.

By the way, we have talked to “Janes” who are women who identify as anti-contact, non-offending pedophiles and like “John”, they have no desire to sexually harm children.’ - a passage on The Prevention Project about MAPs reads.

Not only is this MAPs organization gaining traction, but they’ve also started working under their own version of the Pride Flag.  Is this a way to ride on the coattails of LGBTQ+ groups and their Pride Flags?

In reaction to this, many are warning others on social media of this rising group.

At what age do you consider sexual behavior to be pedophilia?  I ask because it seems to be a fluid number, between 13 to 18 over the last century. Currently the upper end, 18 seems to be in vogue.  When  when I was age 6 and on, I loved to play "doctor" I was constantly getting beat up (spanked) and berated for it from adults. Do you think that is healthy for a young child ? When I was 11 I was introduced to the idea of anal sex, by a 8 year old neighbor. He wanted me to do it to him. ( he had a brother 8 years older, so I 'm sure that how he was introduced himself ).  I tried but it was clumsy and not pleasant, so I dismissed it as "weird".  I certainly diid not become  emotionally harmed by the experience. My point is at 8,  he liked it so much he was trying to get more !  Do you even consider that young people want sex? Or do you just hate on adults who don't have a problem with kids sexuality ?

There is a HUGE difference between two kids fooling around and an adult preying on a child who might be sexually precocious.

The adult has to be just that - the adult! - in the situation.

Sure, some young people want sex...but that doesn't mean it is open season for paedophiles.
